Rope Dart (mixed level) Rope Dart (a long cotton rope with one fire-head at the end), originally a soft weapon, has been introduced to the fire arts as a performance element. When in use it looks like a ball of fire that shoots and retrieves from the body while doing circles of numerous sizes that twine the rope around different parts of the body. During this class students will learn numerous ways of shooting and retrieving the rope dart, including, arm wraps, neck wraps, knee wraps, foot kicks and jumps learned from traditional Wushu methods. Along with becoming knowledgeable in fire safety, fuels, and materials, students will learn how to make monkey fist fire-heads for their own rope darts, which they will use during the last class with fire.*
