beginning Fire Dancing poi (chains)

As students learn the fundamental moves of poi dancing they will expand their knowledge of fluid movement and the flowing transitions between them. During the course students will also learn about poi history, the variety of poi that can be found (alternatives to fire poi for performance), how to make their own fire poi, fire safety, fuels and materials. With this knowledge they will perform their own routine during the last class with actual fire.* The class duration is six weeks.

• Class Fee: $80 -Materials are not included, and it is optional to get them from me. Check the links page for online stores or pay for them at the time of registration. You will need a pair of practice poi for this class.
